About the Role
Our client, a renowned and highly regarded hotel in Dublin 22, is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Chef de Partie to join their dynamic kitchen team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a busy, high-standard environment where quality, creativity, and teamwork are at the heart of the culinary experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Food Preparation: Prepare and cook a range of dishes to the hotel’s high standards, ensuring consistent quality, taste, and presentation.
- Section Management: Take responsibility for a designated section of the kitchen (e.g. grill, sauce, pastry), ensuring dishes are delivered efficiently and on time during service.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Head Chef, Sous Chef, and kitchen brigade to ensure smooth operations and high-quality food production.
- Stock Management: Maintain stock control for your section, ensuring ingredients are ordered on time and minimising waste.
- Compliance: Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations, keeping your section clean, organised, and inspection-ready at all times.
- Training and Mentoring: Support the development of junior kitchen staff, sharing skills and maintaining consistent standards across the team.
- Menu Development: Contribute ideas to menu planning and development, bringing creativity and innovation to new dishes.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- At least 2 years’ experience in a Chef de Partie or similar role within a high-quality restaurant or hotel kitchen.
- Strong culinary skills with attention to detail and creativity in food preparation and presentation.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Good time-management skills, particularly during busy service periods.
- Up-to-date knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations (a valid Food Hygiene Certificate is advantageous).
- A genuine passion for food and delivering exceptional dining experiences.
